The Production Designer on Legends of the Fall
On Empire of Light, the film was virtually lit by what you see in shot. There's very few lights used outside of the practicals. Another thing that I discovered 100 years ago is when I was doing Cannery Row, some of the sets on stage 30 actually touched the sky backing. So it's so important to collaborate with the production designer on legends of the fall inside the branch house.
