The Quest for the Divided Welfare State

A divided welfare state is when we get two different welfare states in one and the same country. The most extreme example that we see in the world to day, maybe, is the united states. It's more about an indirect spending where the state loses a tax revenue due to a lot of tax braks. And i try to draw on the example on the rapid rise of of private health insurance in sweden to show that we are moving towards this kind of divided welfare state.
