What Is Zenker's Diverticulum?
A zenker's diverticulum is a false-pulsion type diverticulum. It's due to dysfunction of the superior esophageal sphincter muscles that then cause increased intra Esophageal pressure. Just like DES, just like DES, surgery is less effective. And if you were to do surgery, you would need a long segment myotomy.
