ECMAID-19: A Hybrid Congress During a Pandemic
The coronavirus pandemic has been quite disruptive to medical Congresses in general and of course ECMAID specifically was affected. So the ECMAID meeting had to be canceled in 2020 and in 2021 and was replaced with a series of virtual events. An entirely new online program directed to COVID-19 was developed rather quickly and successfully. This is a true hybrid meeting because all of the sessions, 18 parallel tracks, were fully live-streamed.
