Why Is China Building a Fleet of Aircraft Carriers?
China knows that large surface ships are incredibly vulnerable to anti-ship missiles. China is now at the forefront of developing these high speed anti-ship weapons including an anti-ship ballistic missile. The Chinese will use that kind of capability, not against peers but against small countries that don't have much power to otherwise oppose them.
