The American Revolution and the Civil War are basically just almost completely absent from Lashwood's historiography. The same thing is true of the New Deal, honestly, as I've said before, it's there more than the American Revolution or the Civil War, but it's not there at all. And what's funny is that Lash actually does touch on the 1856 to 1860 period and revolt the elites, because he writes about Lincoln's speeches during the time, but he doesn't talk about the Civil War.
