The Classification Error of the First Person Experience
I feel like there's a severe category error being done when applying that theory. When it's applied I've always seen it applied to the brain for example, looking at the brain structure. And then you could potentially look at the complimentary information in the brain whether it's somehow complimentary to the experience or not. That would be more in line with some sort of predictive processing theory where it's like, okay, your brain always exhibits that complimentary information that maximizes five of your experience at a given moment and I find that that ties in very well with your idea of the salience landscape, etc.
