Jim Jones and Lynette Jones

Jim Jones was born in Crete, a small country town in the state of Indiana. His parents James and Lynette tried to grow corn and soybeans and raise hogs for slaughter on their farm. The economic depression finally defeated the Joneses and the bank talk ownership of their failing farmland. At risk of homelessness, James' parents provided the Joneses with a modest home in the nearby Midwestern town of Lyn. With its bustling town center, it was a more engaging place for the young family to live. But in the scruffier area of Lyn, their new home had no working plumbing.
