70 to 80 percent of all children with a cancer diagnosis get cured and go on to live a full life through adulthood into a normal age. The drugs that we use, what we call the chemotherapy, kills rapidly growing cells. And so that's why the chemotherapy causes the hair cells to die and the hair to fall out. So it's great when kids can be supportive of other children, their friends that are going through cancer therapy by not making fun of them.
