There are three broad positions you can take on this. We're going to have to expand science or go into metaphysics, we maybe go with panpsychism. Some people think we have to do that. Another response is a more conservative response. It says, no, we can kind of explain all this by talking about ations in the brain and maybe some sort of self awareness. This is where the self awareness comes back in. Maybe when we start to represent our own experiences to ourselves, that's when this apparent objective experience comes in.
