The Unincorporated Association: A Legal Hack for Landowners
The land is still property of the owner. It just has some restraints or constraints on it. So what we do is we create an unincorporated association. Under the law, it's a kind of entity reserved mostly for like card clubs and bird watching clubs. We locked them into a legal kind of relationship with the land in which they have legal duties only to be a voice of the ecosystems.
