There has been just a long and steady grind of Republicans taking over the state. Trump kind of really kind of kickstarted the state like people did not think he was going to win in 2016. I think it's that Democrats stopped doing the spade work of trying to win Florida after 2020 when Bloomberg might have plugged in as much as $100 million to defeat Trump.
