The History of Sexual Science

In 1919, Magnus Hirschfeld established the Institute for Sexual Science. He was trying to find evidence that homosexuality was inborn and had a biological basis. The Institute saw 4,000 patients in its first year alone. In 1928, Hirschfeld co-founded the World League for Sexual Reform.
