The thing that I usually do is I'm comfortable with silence. That's a learned skill. A lot of people aren't. But if you state something, don't be too quick to move on. Sort of use the soft skills, read people's eyes. The little muscles around the corners of their eyes, they might be telling you something how furloughed they're brow,. How they're pursing their lips. You might be able to sense there's an issue. And so you can directly ask, do you have any questions or what questions that you have to your point? Oftentimes I'll ask, does that make sense?
