The Value of Travel
I think travel can have a lot of virtue in it depending on what we make meaning from it. There is a Danish man, Thor Peterson, who left his family and friends in Denmark 10 years ago to visit every single country in the world without flying. I thought this quote from his interview with CNN was just beautiful. A stranger is a friend you've never met before. If you engage with people, they're usually all in a state of the homes of many, many strangers during my travels.
