We can't have a negative mind set if we want to be better people. The optimist believes the future is bright in the the glass is half full. But there's two things that the optimist need to be aware of, they don't win in all situations. Many salespeople that are pessimists will help perform the optimists because the pessimist will look at all the ways it can go wrong and prepare for that. In prisoners of war, outlive theoptimists but not the pessimists. It's called the stockdale paradox - you're either an optimist or pessimistic.
