i take this as being relevant to human brains and human cognition like it sounds like the thing that's going on can't just be like you get a reward signal. Like there's something being stored somewhere which is like oh yeah these kinds of thinking got this type of reward then i'm going to like pick those behaviors does that sound right to you?Yeah so there are various probably fairly simple genetically specified algorithms and conditionals for  that activate to implement behaviors that are very hard to learn within lifetime.
