Reparations - What Difference Has the Money Made?

There are all sorts of efforts in the name of reparations happening right now. People, of courseewill correct te historic injustices this way. But what happened in vermont feels different to me because of its forceful demand pay black people directly. It doesn't matter if they need the money or what they're going to do with it. That said, i couldn't help myself from asking them the question, what difference has the money made? I was able to buy a car, not in cash, but i had a down payment o to purchase a car, which i would not have had if i didn't receive reparations from white people. What did i buy?
