The Ethical Side of Human Nature

It's hard, i think, for people to wrap their heads around the possibility that somebody could be so devoted to his preferred approach as to dismiss and disparage all alternatives. I think of it is perhaps deriving from paleolithic times. And when humans are engaged in an enterprise that offers the promise of great gain, material gain, a sort of espri de cor sets in on pursuing this project. It's e sort of dark, atavistic side of human nature that i think we moderns are inclined to ignore or not fully aware of - but it's very real.
