The Implications of Avatars in Video Games
The ability to change an avatar's appearance could have implications for video games. Games that promote healthy habits or try and get you to change habits like exercise can be swayed by the look of your virtual pet, says John Defterios. It seems like being able to customize the appearance of those that you're interacting with in those games might make them more persuasive than it might make you open to listening to what a game has to say.
