What Is the Best Treatment Option for Liz Frank Injuries?
X-rays and CT scans are fine, but you're still concerned about a Liz Frank joint. You get an MRI and you see that the Liz Frank ligament itself is disrupted. How are you going to treat that purely ligamentous Liz Frank joint? Yeah. So for those of you who are medical students or younger residents, you'll notice that a lot of these midfoot fracture patterns will actually have a screw going across all three cuneiforms as well as the Liz Frank joints. And that's exactly what they are trying to stabilize: intercuneiform instability.
