The Story of Carol Sphinx's Abduction
Darleneia Johnson went missing on July 8, 1971. Her body was found 11 days later in the same place it had been when police first received a report of her disappearance. Decomposition prevented coroner from determining cause of death or if she had been sexually assaulted. Police did not disclose whether they had any leads or suspects and revealed very little about their investigative efforts into identifying her killer.
