During the cold war, both sides were at a certain point creating thise for an equilibrium such that it wouldn't lead to global war. They're having summits. They come to arms control agreements. Now you have a dynamic where the us. Is absolutely determined to defeat russia, and russia is absolutely determined not to be defeated. That's the logic, yes. And it's very frightening.
