"It's just that really bothers me a lot because it's, it really we're taught that your life will be better when you get this diagnosis," she says. "That like idea of people will see you for who you really are is what it speaks to is by essentialism, right? That there's a certain way that you entered into this world." She adds: "We always that's why we see like schizophrenia and diagnoses attached to like black people or like hysteria attached to like women,. Like there's always this questioning of like sanity".
