trademark owners worry about genericide the idea that will say Xerox machine or give me a band-ator do you have a bowl of shredded wheat. Once a word is used enough that it becomes part of the culture it is possible to lose your trademark. The act of creation isn't incented by the last zero by going from 20 million to 200 million dollars in profit and we need to figure out how to have an honest thoughtful conversation about what's worth turning into property.
