The European Pillar of Social Rights, and the Conference on the Future of Europe?
The working classes have been radicalized to the right in a militant, xenophobic populism. The european pillar of social rights spells out splendid things such as the right to adequate social protection for absolutely everyone. But since the pillar isnt not really legally binding, it needs to be translated into policies and legislation. These wonderful social rights will be sacrificed if competitiveness in the global economy remains a top policy priority. And so this can be counteracted only by diminishing the economic sources of precariety that invests in a robust public sector.
