Methane is a greenhouse gas that's about 80 times more potent than CO2 over 20 years. The industry refers to this as methane leaks which sounds like an accident. But studies are piling up that show it's just part for the course when you're using gas for energy. Gas often gets talked about as being a bridge to renewable energy something we can just use until there's enough renewables on the grid or that can help stabilize solar and wind sources. It's a bridge to nowhere.
