The Importance of Restorative Justice
A real apology doesn't ask for the person who is harmed to do anything really. They made it about them when it was supposed to be a communal moment. And so I think that's what one of the things in your episode that really kind of struck me was that restorative justice can happen without the victim or the person who's harmed having to take it upon themselves to be the bigger person. That's right. After working on this episode, but while also left the episode believing is that it's worth fighting for,. Not giving up on the process of an apology or restoring justice or restoring kind of balance to society through this process is worth fighting for. Otherwise, we won't survive.
