Higher Blood Sugars Hurt Healing
Doctors in a hospital setting are only focused on the thing that's their responsibility. Most of the time they're okay with blood sugars less than two like 150 to 200. So unless the patient is super on top of their management which a lot of people aren't, blood sugars tend to sit on the high side.
