Cold War and Its Implications for Inflation
Cold wars have huge implications for economies in similar ways to hot wars. Cold war one produced a great inflation in the 1970s, which can be traced back to fiscal and monetary policy. And of course you have to spend much more money on defense because what's been revealed by the hot war in Ukraine is that we actually would run out of certain precision missiles within about a week of a hot war with China over Taiwan.
