What Kind of Predators Kill an Animal?

How do you tell if an animal has died from starvation or disease? Nobody had ever asked that question in east africa. We were able to build up a picture of what the healthy animal looks like when it comes to its fat reserves. And we could find out whether things had been killed by predators,whether they had died other than predators and been scavenged by predators, or whether they had actually died from something else.
