Michigan Senator Philip Hart expressed his concern at ordinary Americans or Joe Patey's as he termed them, or even more at risk of being targeted by the FBI. But again, FBI man James Adams stood firm. He never once conceded that the Bureau's methods and techniques were out of sync with what needed to be done to protect the country from dangerous subversive. The committee should focus on him too.
