J. Allen Heineck was a UFO expert who worked for the military as a civilian consultant. His work became well known after an up-and-coming filmmaker in Hollywood contacted him to discuss the Third Kind category and eventually name his 1977 film After It. The movie, as we all know, became a huge success. These Close Encounters cases would only flourish throughout the 70s, 80s and 90s in stories of landings and humanoid creatures.
