The Gift of Memoirs

N.K. Jemison is one of my favorite writers of the modern era. Her ascendancy on the scene in speculative fiction has been nothing short of meteoric. I mean, just start with a premise, right? Being able to experience a past moment or feeling through a meal. What a fantastical idea! And she executes it so brilliantly. She draws you right into this story. It turns out to be something that I didn't see coming. This is not an ending I could have predicted or would have predicted or could even have predicted given the opportunity.
