How to Debug a Perl Script

The native code generator was much faster at compiling. It obviously sidetipped a ton of complexity in the C back end. There was this thing called the evil manglow, which some people might have heard of. The Perl script they got ran over the assembly code after the C compiler had finished it and spat out new assembly code that we then assembled and became the binary.
