The History of Slavery

In the New Testament, of course, there was the Greek and Roman slavery. Even that tended not to be lifelong and it wasn't based on race. What we know today is African chattel slavery. But the New Testament never really says oh, it's fine. It just sort of works on how do you live with this thing at this point. Christians have not always been able to agree on when they read the Bible on everything.
