Gary Lineker opened BBC One's coverage of the World Cup with a monologue. There was no matey, banterish jokes and it was pretty serious about issues around catar hosting the tournament. He basically raised all the things that we've been talking about for weeks. Some people will say he didn't go far enough - I'm not worried about that.
