Lacan, What Is Love?

For Lacan, the great malfunctioning tool that brings us closer to awareness is speech. It's at the level of the stutter or the stammer when the fluid articulations of the ego start to crack and rupture. The ultimate horizon of this Lacanian stuff as far as human beings are concerned is a way of being with another person that allows Lacan not to be a problem. There's no math theme for love. But it would have something to do with being cool enough with your own split subjectivity to allow the same in another. And his goal is always the same. Happiness here on earth, happiness in the midst of fragmentation, happiness as a split subject.
