The Importance of Victory in the Labour Party
If he had won, Tony Ben would have become part of the Labour establishment. I think probably he did have some regrets about the effect on him because he was vilified. You know, it did also have an impact on the Labour Party itself. It certainly took its toll of him and possibly of his family but he's never said to me he should not have run for the leadership or the deputy leadership.
