I know it's not the most usual way to make friends, but I do care about them. You cook me dinner and Sam listens to me complain. Caleb is even coming by later to help me move the furniture out of my office. Where is this coming from? I don't want to leave and have you bear yourself and work again. Do all the movie nights not count? Sure, yeah, those count. But Joni, those are people you feel like you need to take care of. Are you telling me that you don't feel at least somewhat responsible for them? That's literally my job.
