In 1960, Cape Scott took part in a NATO minesweep being exercise called sweep clarify. It was going down to Washington to show off something that we had developed that the Americans want to call the bear trap. A helicopter on the deck of a small destroyer escort and you just winch it in. And they just stopped as a good will mission because it was Canada Centennial Year. So when I saw dads boat, you know, in Shelburne Harbour on a NATO mission, I'm like, "Oh my God, that's got to be it"
