Ai researchers have developed a system that can categorize molecules by the odor they're likely to produce. A lot of people are working on it, but not for this competition. latency is going to be critical to having this technology work at a real distance. If i am operating a robot on the moon, i'm going to have a big delay. This is where i see a i coming in. But once we tackle latency, and we decided we wouldn't put it in for this competition because, again, we're doing the foundational stuff right now.
