The Different Types of Supernovas
A single supernova can be as bright or brighter than like 100 billion stars in the galaxy that it's in. Hydrogen bombs are fusion bombs, but the conditions for fusion are created by a fission bomb. So you get this fission bomb, which blows up and then squeezes the fuel for fusion,. Then triggers the more dramatic fusion bomb. And that's basically what's going on inside a supernova except the fuel pellet is like the size of a star.
