Women's Shadow
When we keep parts of us hidden from ourselves or from the world, we're actually withholding and withdrawing some of the best parts of selves. There's a big shadow for women that's made up of all the qualities that are at odds with the good girl prototype. Unconsciously, women carry a fear that will fall out of favor or be excluded from the social matrix,. shunned, shamed, single forever. And i see this regularly in my practice. For me, the pingpong was between the good, pleasing, censured self and the irritable, bitter, resentful self.
