The History of Collective Self Governance
The entire history of collective self governance in places outside of the West has received much less attention than what we ought to give it, he says. The digitalization of historical archives has made possible a new, fresh look at evidence that was impossible to reach even just 10 or 20 years ago. And so I think that this is a conversation about democracy, not necessarily in the sea, but this is a conversations about democracy that starts in our schools, in our universities and perhaps as well.
