Attack surface is not just the technical assets that you're exposing to the internet. Attack surface is anything that attackers can see about your organization. That includes things that bad actors know about you that are shared in forums, credentials that belong to you and so on. So we're trying to look holistically at what bad actors look at when they try to find attack opportunities.
