Anesthesia and Critical Care Reviews and Commentary (ACCRAC) Podcast
How Much Volatile Anesthetic Should I Use for a C Section?
Anesthesiologist: Most of the C sections that we do under general at my institution are done under TIVA. We sometimes use sucks a lot of the time end up using rock or remi for intubation so it's not a huge ask to ask someone to do a non-triggering anesthetic for a C section. I don't think anyone would advocate for using volatile anesthetics in this case though. If you could do niraxial that would be preferred.
