When the Fed raises interest rates, even Mafiosi type companies end up having to pay attention. And when money becomes tighter, all those investments that looked fine about three or four years ago, don't look half as fine. When companies expand, and this is why so many of the tech companies are laying off people, they do it largely through the seeds of their pants.
