The Evolution of Animals on Alien Planets

Senses are really interesting. Senses evolved because they gave an advantage to some organism. Sensing is a perfect example of why animals sense and plant senses are much more simple than animal senses. Animals need to decide, do I go left or do I go right? Now aliens may have organisms that look like plants, they may have animals like Groot,. That's a plant that moves around. But for me an animal is something that has to move and make decisions about moving. You need to be able to sense the world around you.
