The Communist Manifesto is an uncompromising piece of writing, and it is against compromise. The reason Marx and Engels thought you could not compromise with the established order was because its political institutions were a kind of lie. They need to understand that the overthrow has to be total, the break has to be clean, and the wheel has to turn all the way from bottom to top.
